
Martin Reichgott

Martin Reichgott joined KKW in January
2004, moving to Alaska from Portland, Oregon. During his career,
Martin has coached all levels of swimming, including summer league,
club, high school and Masters in Ketchikan, Portland and New
York. He also serves as the Technical Planning Committee
Chairperson for Alaska Swimming, and has been a coach for both the
Alaska and Oregon All-Star Zone teams. Coach Martin is
an ASCA Level 3 certified coach.
Martin's goal
is for every swimmer to exceed their own expectations while
contributing to something greater than themselves.

Kate Gallaway

Kate Gallaway
started swimming with KKW at age 12, and also competed for the
KayHi Kings. Her favorite events were the 100 Fly
and 500 Free. She recently graduated from the
University of Nevada-Reno, and currently works at Ketchikan General
Hospital while pursuing her nursing studies.
In 2010, Coach Kate was selected
to be on the Alaska Swimming Zone Team coaching staff. She
also completed her ASCA Level 2 certification.

Samantha Ball

Samantha Ball
moved to Alaska from upstate New York, looking for an
adventure. She started swimming competitively at age 12 and
continued through high school, and became a lifeguard and swim
instructor at age 15. Sam assisted with the YMCA club and
also was a waterfront director at a private club. Currently,
she is majoring in Business with a concentration in Green and
Sustainable Energy Management. Sam is also the manager of the
Boys and Girls Club in Ketchikan.

Megan Beattie

Megan Beattie
started swimming with KKW competitively at age 11 and continued on
to swim for the KayHi Kings as well as the Pacific University
Boxers in Forest Grove, OR. She graduated from Pacific in
2009 and currently works as a Special Education Paraprofessional at
KayHi with plans to start a Masters program to become a high
school teacher. Her favorite events are the distances:
500 and 1650 free.
