Welcome to the Ketchikan Killer Whales Swim Club!

February 12-14, 2010

KKWSC was started in 1973 by Gene Horne, with an emphasis on skill building and competition.  From these beginnings, Killer Whales has increased its membership to over 80 swimmers competing year-round in Alaska and the western United States.  KKWSC is a nonprofit organization open to all swimmers ages 6 and older, from novice to national competition levels.  We strive for the athlete to attain maximum potential as both a swimmer and a contributing team member, and encourage a family-oriented experience, where the parents can play an active role in their swimmer's development.

Swimmers interested in joining Killer Whales must be six years old, should have completed Level 4 in swim lessons, or be able to demonstrate freestyle and backstroke, and good listening skills.  All swimmers must try three practices before registering for the team.  We look forward to seeing you on the pool deck!
